Thomas inks three recruits for 2010

The early signing period began on Monday for basketball recruits, and FIU has already landed three prospects. The group is comprised of high school All-American Dominique Ferguson, and guards Richaud Pack and DeJuan Wright. A 6-foot-8 forward from Indiana, Ferguson is the most notable signee for Thomas in his brief stint as the Golden Panthers coach. He is ranked 46th in the ESPNU top 100 list and boasted interest from schools such as Duke, Florida, Indiana and Arizona. Rosa’s 20 kills helps volleyball team win 20th straight
By: Joel Delgado / Staff Writer Yarimar Rosa knew she was close to achieving another milestone in her historic career at FIU on Nov. 11 as the Golden Panthers took on the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles. Rosa entered the match 20 kills away from becoming the first Golden Panther to reach the 2,000 kill milestone for her career. She left the game with 2,000 kills under her name as the Golden Panthers (27-2) swept the Eagles (15-12) in three sets. “I didn’t expect to get the 20 kills tonight,” Rosa admits. “When they told me I got the 20 kills I was just really happy.
