Panthers down ULM at home

By: Jonathan Ramos/ Sports Director FIU played good enough defense down the stretch to defeat the University of Louisiana at Monroe Warhawks on Jan. 7 at the U.S Century Bank Arena. With Phil Gary Jr. coming off the bench due to persistent knee tendinitis, freshman Steven Miro started for FIU, and made key plays. Miro was 3-of-6 from the field and finished with just seven points, but he netted a floater with a few minutes left that gave FIU comfort after ULM got itself back into the game near the end of the half.
