Fire erupts on roof of Chemistry and Physics

By: Christopher Necuze / Editor in Chief Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel were called to the scene of a fire on the roof of the Chemistry and Physics building late Wednesday afternoon. The fire affected an unoccupied area of the building and no injuries were reported. “We were in class about to take a quiz when the fire alarm rang,” said graduate student Alejandra Hagopian, who was in the building at the time. “When we left we saw flames coming out of the corner of the building.” Fire Rescue was alerted of the fire at 7:45 p.m., and eight fire trucks and 30 personnel were subsequently called to the scene, according to Battalion Chief J.
