Miami will be jam-packed with music this summer

With Spring semester coming to an end, students are desperate to find a way to erase the trauma caused by studying for their finals. One sure way is escaping their dorms or homes and enjoying some good, live music.

Luckily, FIU is located in a city known for its gigs, shows and festivals.

For the head-banging crowd, Falling in Reverse is stopping by Revolution Live May 6 with Ghost Town. Paying a visit in the same location a few months after is Between the Buried and Me and Animals as Leaders on July 10.

Last but not least, Warped Tour is stopping by on July 4 at the Cruzan Amphitheater in West Palm Beach. Some bands featured this year on the infamous tour are The Amity Affliction, Beartooth, Escape the Fate and Pierce the Veil.

For the softer, alternative crowd, the infamous Big Guava Music Fest is happening at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa May 8-9.

Some artists on the lineup include AWOLNATION, Passion Pit, Robert Delong and Ryan Adams.

Another big name stopping by for the alternative crowd is Lana Del Rey on her Endless Summer Tour in West Palm Beach at the Cruzan Amphitheater on June 16.

For Top 40 lovers, Sam Smith is stopping by closer to home on July 10 at the American Airline Arena. Someone following soon after him is world-renown pop star Madonna, on her Rebel Heart Tour, hitting the same venue on August 30.

As for country and folk fanatics, Rascal Flatts is stopping by the veteran venue Cruzan Amphitheater on July 11, followed by Dave Matthews Band on July 31 and August 1 in the same location.

Tickets are still on sale for all the concerts mentioned above at affordable prices. If students have some money left over from compulsive Starbucks sprees to gear up for finals, they should definitely invest in a concert or two to relieve some built-up stress.
