BOT welcomes new trustee
The Board of Governors has appointed former chairman of the FIU Foundation, S. Lawrence Kahn III, to the University's Board of Trustees.
Kahn, who is currently the chief executive officer of Lowell Homes, Inc., will become a member of the 13-person Board, who, according to the BOT site, are “responsible for cost-effective policy, implementing and maintaining high-quality education programs consistent with the University’s mission.”
“I have been a proud member of the FIU family for 10 years and I look forward to this new role. We have an exceptional Board of Trustees and a world class-leadership team. Together, we will steer FIU through these challenging times,” Kahn told News at FIU.
Kahn will be replacing Rosa Sugranes.
