Radio Soul Detailed Fun Fact: Usher Raymond not only had an early shining moment on Star Search, he also had a moment on the 1995 American Music Awards, as he sang the first portion of R. Kelly’s verse of “U Will Know”, which is a project from B.M.U. (Black Men United). Among the song performers, Raphael Saadiq and R. Kelly were absent, as Usher had the chance to shine. Over a decade later, Kel’s and Usher collaborated on the track “Same Girl”, which was on R. Kelly’s 2007 LP “Double Up.” Originally released in 1994, “U Will Know” appeared on the soundtrack to the film “Jason’s Lyric”.
